VRPA Committee Meeting: Nov.22nd, 2004

Attendance: Jason, Kyle, Dale, Eden

Meeting start: 7:25pm

1)  AGM Schedule:

Will occur during Dale's Christmas social Dec 5th, and will commence at 1:45PM.

No guests will be involved with the meeting, however current and new members are all encouraged to attend.

Agenda:

    - Kyle will talk about the past year, and give a brief look at the year ahead.

    - Jason will go over (and hopefully unveil) the new VRPA website.

    - Eden will talk about tournaments and the state of the league.

    - Election of Committee members (if necessary)

    - Warren will collect Fees for 2005 and update each member's information.

    - Question Period.

2)  Future of the Committee:

Changes include Jason doing website work ONLY, and only occasional attendance to Committee meetings.  Warren will be fully in charge of membership, and treasury.  The committee will now consist of 5 members.

We will look into getting a VRPA.ca PayPal account, and linking it up to Warren's bank (with Kyle as a 2nd signer if necessary).

3)  Dale's Get Together:

It was suggested that we have a donation can to collect money to help pay for all the food being provided that day.  Dale also suggested that each person bring a non-perishable good to send to a local food bank.

4)  Tourney Schedule for Dale's, Dec. 5th

We'll be doing 3 to 4 mini tourney's during the day, as well as our VRPA Tournament.  Here's a general overview of the day:

    1:00 Mini     - Reverse flippers(?)

    1:45N None - AGM

    3:30 Mini     - 2 minute drill.

4:30 Mini     - One flipper each.

    5pm VRPA Tourney - Using 3 machines!

We may throw in another between 5 and the end of the evening, and Eden will create the score sheets for the Mini's... various people will take turns 'running' a mini.

5)  Table for tournament:

Kyle suggested we have a table present that says 'Bring Tourney Cash Here' or something to that effect, that Christie can keep her laptop on as well to keep track of the scoring.  Easy way to keep organized.

6) Dale will not need anyone to bring games.

7) It was suggested that some 'bracket' tourneys be used at meetings.  It was decided that the current tourney format is more conducive to the league scoring, but at longer events which have more games, we will try to have some elimination style tournaments that won't affect league standings.

8) Kyle wanted to see if we are for sure a go for having a public pinball event in Nov. 2005... all were in favor.

Meeting adjourned around 8:30
