Minutes:
Old Business:
1) Defining a Guest and their privileges:
To be a guest, you MUST be sponsored (invited) by a VRPA member. It was
decided through discussion that the host of a meeting should be able to invite
up to 2 people that are non-members at their discretion. A guest must also be
permitted to attend by the HOST of the meeting. It was also discussed and
decided that a guest may only attend a meeting up to 3 times in a calendar year,
after which they must attain Membership status.
(Refer to qualifications of membership for further details)
2) Promoting VRPA.ca in the Buy & sell:
Deisner had suggested that we find a way to
promote the VRPA in the B&S, and was looking for suggestions from other
members. After discussion, it was decided that the main focus of this is to get
more people interested in pinball, and becoming VRPA members. It was decided
that a VRPA/Guest page be created to welcome new people who find us through the
Buy & Sell, and then link them to our forum. Deisner
will be creating this page for us in the future.
New Business:
1) Deisner needs to register the VRPA.ca website
with search engines. He will be doing this shortly.
2) Pinballodyssey in
3) Tournament: There will be no tournament tonight due to time constraints,
and other obligations involving this meeting's host. There will be a hands-on
seminar about shopping a game, with special focus on 'Ferris-wheel Belt Repair'
4) It was suggested by Kyle Seller that we do an 'appearance' on Speaker's
Corner to help promote the VRPA. Kyle will do this for us.
** Deisner mentioned he wanted to meet the
lady-host of Urban Rush 2, Erin...
5) VRPA Shirts: It was discussed and decided that we would make grey
t-shirts showing Kyle's 'Williams-font' VRPA.ca on the front left breast
(possibly embroidered... will be looked into) and the VRPA.ca 'Banner' on the
back (same as our website banner) not embroidered. Kyle will be taking care of
this, since he has a friend in the t-shirt business.
6) FTP site: It was suggested by Doug that we create an FTP site for VRPA
members to share and store scans, files, and other pinball related things to
share with each other. Deisner will look into getting
one created.
Meeting adjourned. Game playing ensued.
