VRPA Committee Meeting: Aug.29th, 2008

1)      Society Work:  Once the VRPA name is approved, we have only about 2 months to get our bylaws submitted and have ourselves registered.  It is important that we have these things prepared first to ensure the right to the name does not lapse.  Eden will start trying to write up bylaws, Kyle will write the act and we will all review the bylaws before submitting them to register the group.

 

2)      T Shirts:  Angelo will try to get our shirts done through one of his contacts.  We’d like to get approximate prices for various shirt brands (Gildan, AAA, etc.) and see which colors are available.  Hopefully if things move along nicely we can present some options to the rest of the group in mid October.

 

3)      Tournaments:  It is important that at LEAST one Committee Member is able to check the games before a Tournament to ensure that they will play efficiently for the Tournaments.  This includes making sure they work fully, have Tournament Mode enabled when possible, EB’s off, and an appropriate tilt set to ensure games do NOT play too long.  Angelo would be the perfect person for this, and he is willing to do this at each event.  IF he is unable to attend early, it is on those occasions that he will contact another Committee Member to perform this duty.

 

4)      League Finals:  A venue and date for League Finals still needs to be set.  A location with a variety of pinball eras would be preferred, and a neutral location (NOT one of the finalists’ homes) would be ideal.
